Tune upon

I'm taking my car into the mechanic because my ac/heater isn't blowing air, and wanted to get a tune up. My car has been really sluggish lately. Any ideas on how much it costs?

how many miles???

replace the sparkplugs with NGK Iridium, 50 bucks in parts,,8$ each x6
labor 1 -1.5 hours

DIY-run seafoam cleaner thru half tank of gas $8 can x 2 times
replace engine air filter $25

if your ac blower stopped totally -it may have burnt the connector wire and fried the resistor--pretty easy diy,,same as change cabin air filter and add a few more screws to remove 30-60 minutes DIY
Acura sells a replacement kit with longer wires and new connector- $20
look on back of mount plate for blower motor to ck resistor for damage- dont have price

using fan on 5 all the time contributes to prob of short wires and cheap connector
Heat does them in--fan on high is lots of amps= heat in wire

no, he's saying it could contribute to the death of the wires.
too much electricity all the time can melt something.

the connection is very tight due to short wires--that adds to the problem.
the update kit has longer wires

honda used a similar connector on their motorcycles and same type heat damage occured with melting of connector- wires damaged and come loose..arcing occurs--FIRE!! -under the seat!!
(happened to me-main power leads on bike!)

Why not read up on the blower repair & do it yourself (or try before you take it to somebody else) to save some $?

Check ebay for NGK iridium plugs. They go for 34 for all 6. Better than 50

make sure you get the correct ones
type S cars have a step colder heat range
I dont have the part numbers and hear there are a few choices on the order site for ngk

went to local store for mine, for ten bucks differance than online- that store is there... available to buy my engine oil from-- and return the used oil to!
the gas money to the hazmat oil disposal a few times just about covers the differance in plug price

ngk Iridium, iridium IX (somehow racier and used by many), laser iridium (refers to how the electrode is welded on- a laser did it) or even Platinum all ok (plats are whats in it stock but now cost more than the better/improved iridium)
