TSX projector retrofit... [PICS]

I have had these projectors sitting on my computer table for the past 7 months and I just ended up sending them to a shop to get them retrofitted acouple weeks ago. Just got them back and heres how they look.

One question I have is, should the actual cutoff in the projector be on the bottom or top? To me it would make sense if the cutoff was on the top in the inside of the projector so when the light shine through it will shine from the projector down to the road, not vise-versa. The 4th pic is what I'm talking about, you can see the cutoff inside the projector. When I called and asked about it, he said that when the light shines through the lens, the cutoff will be on the top. He said he tested it with a bulb, I havnt had the time to test it yet. I just want to make sure before I seal them up. Any help will be appreciated!

Anyways, here are the pics:

Thanks! Yeah thats what I wanted was chrome, but he said that to have them painted with the proper chrome paint would be expensive. So I just painted it black with the same paint I used to paint the housing.

I actually wanted the e46 rep that fits the TSX projector but how the projector was mounted the chrome bezel didn't cover the whole projector so he had to make a custom one. Trust me, I wanted a chrome bezel but the black doesnt look all that bad

I was actually looking on ddmtuning yesterday and was looking at a set of 6000k 55w. On their site they mention if you get the 55w the 8000k look like 6000k, so I was thinking of getting the 8000k's. What ones do you have?

I'd go with 6000K no matter what with these projectors. But the headlights look sweet. I've always wanted to do this.

I have 35w 5000k's in my car just the regular headlights no projectors. BUT i put 6000k 55w in my parents' 05 mdx, which has the projectors, and it looks great. Next to my car they still look more blue. They're from ddm as well.

nice man, at first I had chrome housing when I did my retro but it looks cleaner painting the housing black. It doesnt look like it sticks out the front that much, does that mean you cant put your back cover on? I had the same tsx retro and put 4300k on one side and 6000k on the other side. After testing both, you are good with 55w 6300k, good choice. Stick with it, cause you also have to keep in mind the cut off will alter the color of your heights as well.

Those are the shrouds I used but that part took way way way too long to mod to get it to fit our housing. Dont listen to these people who dont have retro experience. The projector reverses the image so if you have the cutoff shield on the top then it will reverse the output. SO if you put the cut off on the bottom and light shines up top, after it hits the lens it will flip. Kinda like this picture below. Well its been a while since I did my retro so I'm pretty sure I'm right.

ps, whoever painted your housing didnt sand down the finish so your outer housing is starting to chip in the corner and you can see the chrome. I would suggest to re paint those because once you start getting the lens cover back on it may chip some more. but if you are lazy and dont care then you can leave it. But spending so much time and money on it might as well do it right.

Nice, gives your car a cleaner, more updated look with those. Did you retrofit them yourself or take them somewhere?
