that car is wack...i had it as a loaner and my girl has it. Its way to slow, with no pick-up. Also very small (i'm 6'5''). I do like the lighting in the car and the system is pretty sweet.

It is very interesting to see how 2nd gen guys talk about their experiences in the TSX. I'm thinking about getting one of them or a TL-S as my next car as I plan to sell the 2003 TL-P. If I got a TSX I would have to put a SC on it...I wonder if that wonder what it would run in the 1/4 then or if the SC would be enough to compensate for the smaller engines.

I was in love with my TSX loaner. I thought it had enough power. Had to push it hard to overtake on the freeway, but otherwise, enough. Didn't like how the armrest seemed to high and the shifter (auto) was so small. Otherwise, loved it.

Will probably buy one in 3 or 4 years, depending on what they look like then.

For the price of a TSX modded with a supercharger, couldn't you just get a new, or slightly used 3rd gen TL?

dont get me wrong, its a nice car as i said b4. i shopped tsx and tl-s when i was buying. i ended up with the tl-s. yeah the supercharger will make is quicker, but the car itself is small and light. although i have fun with the agility of the car. it doesnt FEEL as solid as a tl. if they had a small v6 at the same price range, i would have gotten over that small car feeling quickly. i had a four banger 91 accord like 122hp, it was not fast either but it was fun. it reminded me too much of that. for nostalgic reasons it was cool. but its too boyracer for me now. i dont wanna have to wind it up to redline every time i wanna pass or just be a little agressive. i love the the tl has balls and even more if you push it. its still a 4door integra in mentality but more lux features.

i had a TSX loaner for a few days and overall i did like even tho i had the auto.
if i were to get one it would be the 6 spd.
also i didnt like the audio conrol locations on the steerring wheel but i did like that u could go back and forth between stations and go from XM, to FM, to CD, etc. on the steering wheel.

at night, the HID's rock. they blow away my TL S. the bright output is so much more, u can see everything on the road.

yes i liked the HIDs too but the only reason its brighter is because it has projector headlights...

Yeah I got a TSX loaner the other day. Overall I agree with what everyone has said. Does not feel nearly as solid as a TL, feels like driving a little honda with a better engine. Which is what it pretty much is I guess. Overall I don't like how the new acuras are just plain smaller. I did like the handeling on this car and the brakes. I really like how lit up the speedo is but the labeling sucks. It just has notches for 20 40 60 and they are real close together with just little lines between em so you really have to take a good look to tell exactly how fast your going. At least I did I could imagine getting some tickets because of that. Overall a pretty nice little car but don't think I would pay what they ask for em new. Also made me appreciate my TL that much more when I got her back!

yeah i didnt like a labeling either. everything is off axis. its disorienting. the HIDs are sooo sharp and even light. its crazy how bold the riseline for the light is when its out of a projector.

Others would disagree with you, myself included. To me, the TSX is a compelling value in its class. The TL and TSX aren't in the same class so this might be why you feel this way.

I LOVE my TSX.

they gave me a tsx loaner too when i had my tranny replaced in my 01 tl. i was really impressed w/ the car. the power was weak, but ok for a 4 banger i guess. the handling and sound system really caught my interests. i'm getting bilstein shocks and h&r sport springs for my tl soon, i hope i get a much sportier ride like the tsx. i would consider a tsx for my next car, but i'm really looking for a coupe w/ more power. in conclusion, i found the tsx to be a fine piece of work!

The TSX is not a fast car by any means. It has adaquate power and enough to make driving fun. The TL is a beast in terms of power but it lacks the handling that the TSX has.

And for a stock system, the TSX's is above par.

The TSX is a nice car, I just don't think it is worth any premium at all over an Accord EX-V6 - a car that either meets or beats the TSX in every category performance wise. Yes, even handling and braking. Did anyone not read "Everyday Heroes" in Car and Driver? The Accord finished ahead of the TSX and was considered the more competent of the pair, likely due to the huge power advantage.

Aside from that, I can't see how anyone could find the TSX audio appealing. In all 5 of my TSX loaners (06 Navi AT was the last), the sound system has been HORRIBLE. The music is either flat with no bass at all, or has so much muddy bass it becomes painful to listen to. It wasn't on par with our Accord, it isn't on par with our Infinity-retrofitted Camry, and it isn't even close in terms of clarity to our Bose-equipped TL.

Perhaps the fact that you own an Accord weighs into your baism?? I didn't see any TL's on the C&D 10Best List and I like knowing that I'm not going to see an Accord on every street corner.

My sister has the Accord. The sound system isn't all that great and the sound system in my Dad's TL is.. mehhh. ELS is good but not worth writing home about. But everyone is entitled to their opinion. I just disagree with yours.

And absolutely positively no way in hell does the Accord handle better than the TSX. That's absurd to even state. However, the V6 Accord certainly is faster than the TSX but we're looking at daily drivers here. If you want a fast car, Honda/Acura is not the place to be.

Actually, on paper, there is little if any difference between the Accord V6 handling prowess and that of the TSX. The TSX just feels like it is much more competent than it is.

Personally, I've found that the TSX's worst feature are the owners. I think the TSX's lack of oomph makes for very insecure and easily offended owners given what they paid for the vehicle.

Personally, when I decide it's time for a smaller car than my TL that handles better and is just plain fun to drive, I'll save $8000 and get a Civic Si with Navi. Less money, performance that can school the TSX in any situation (straight line or road course), and IMO, better looks.

so yea i wish i could get a tsk loaner, but for some reason acura has this rule that you must be 25 to get a tsx. me being 18 could not get a tsx which makes no sense because i own a TL which is a higher class car, go figure haha. so they stuck me with this piece of crap integra that needed bearings in the wheels and you could only imagine how loud that was...

What is written on paper and what actually happens in life are two different scenarios. The manufacturer might say that a car gets 25MPG but in real life, it is more like 20MPG (for example). I can testify that the Accord and TSX handle very diffirently. Now perhaps I should take into account that my sister's 03 Accord has about 60K miles on it and my TSX has about 25K, then no, the Accord would not feel the same. However, I certainly do not feel as confident taking it through some of the tight turns I do with my TSX.

I'm certainly not insecure by the fact that my TSX is not a fast car. If I wanted a fast car, I would have gotten something else but I'm not one for speed anyhow. Some of the TSX owners will get very offended when people make fun of the TSX's speed but only people on this forum know the true limits of the car. Most people/friends who have seen or been in my TSX automatically assume that its a fast car. We all know this isn't true.

And yes, I will agree with you that the Civic Si will toast the TSX in most of the performance areas. One thing it can't beat the TSX on, however, is luxury. But the Civic Si is a great car and so is the TSX. Just two different cars.

im 24 i got a tsx. i guess its their call.

the sound in the tsx a great stock system. its similar to the accord but a little less tinny. when i first got in it sounded bad, but after i played with it and listened to xm, i was impressed. ill be honest, i really dont like the bose system in my tl, its muddy and its sound balancing isnt great compared from high volume to low volume. how are there no tweeters? i am baffled by that. i cant wait to get the focals in. i get ragged on all the time for the sound, my friend has an 01 es300 and his has a 6" sub and it blows ours away accross the board. and its not even aimed for as youthful as a group. alteast they are making the sound better for the newer acuras.

Yeah must vary. My dealer did not want to give me any car at all unless I was over 25. I had to wait a couple of months to get the tranny inspected because I could not go without a loaner. I have no gripes really about the power I mean it was not as fast as my TL-S but I still had more power on tap then most cars on the road around me. It responds pretty decently to when you floor it I think. The handeling was good. The brakes felt way better then my TL but that might be also because the brakes seem kind of jacked on my TL. I did not like the sound system much. Sounded like it was far away or just in the background or something. If you prefer a sound that is not "in your face" then this might be a good thing. I could imagine it would be nice to listen to classical music and just cruise or something but I mostly listen to rock and stuff. Overall its still a pretty nice car.

Today I got my TSX loaner. I find the car too small for me, I feel very cramped in there and I'm only 5'10. The interior is immaculate, I like the xm satellite ( listened to 80's all the way to work), it's an ok car just not quick enough for my taste. I got a nice San Marino Red 06 ..very eye catching car. I think coming from a 6cyl and driving this I need more, but if had a 4cyl previously you can find this car quick. I would buy it ( for wifey ) if it wasn't ridiculously priced. I was a little scared though when I first got there, they had a Ford Escort in the lot but when I saw Acura keys I was happy and hoping for a TL

I had a TSX loaner when I took mine in for the OPDS system. I liked the car cause it handled good. It is weak compared to the TL. But I really liked the Navi and XM radio. I want to get that in my car and some suspension stuff then I wouldnt care about the TSX.

I had the 06 TL loaner gettin a 06 TSX loaner this time around, I wanted more mpg the TL says it gets 20/29 mpg but I swore I only got 15/24 mpg and I'm not much of a heavy footer. TSX is only 22/31 but, it gives me a chance to drive a different type of car I'm sure its nothing compared to the TL but, I'll prolly be driving a lot more with the TSX since I started working just last week, the TSX sits about an inch higher than the TL, if only they put that TL I drove for a week on the lift they'd see that I scratched up the bottom tryin to get in my garage because the driveway is really steep n there's no room to angle.
