ahh just get some aftermarket ones. Fighting with the dealer over wipers is stupid. When you really need them they will be a holes. Dont fight with them over petty things.

I put the GE Silicon 'Silblades' on, if they hold up to everything promised they are better than standard blades. So far so good.

I bought the Siliblades too. They work great so far - although I've only had them on for a month.

Nice response. No one is "fighting with the dealer"...I was merely asking if there was a TSB out. You should be an Acura Service manager, so we can all get "petty things" free from you.

There's no TSB for the 02 models. I believe there was a TSB for the 00 models (NHTSA SB615758), as the wiper fluid delivery pipe was dissolving in the solution and smearing on the windshield.

My wipers are pretty sucky especially at highway speeds. They seem to lose adhesion to the window surface, especially on their way down. Will silblades help in this department?

Move to Southern California!

It doesn't really rain much, and I'm sure the TL will survive just fine during our next earthquake.

I've haven't experienced any problems - but I don't drive on the highway all that much. I actually can't remember if I've tried them on the highway while it was raining yet. I must have at some point during the past month, which means I guess they're ok since I didn't notice any problems.

Maybe bricot can offer some insight...

I had this problem and it involved flushing the resovoir and replacing all the tubing and the wipers, so just upgrading the wipers isn't going to fix the problem.

As for '02s not included, I'm not sure, but my friend has an '02 TLS and he just recently complained to me that his wipers have been smudging really bad. He bought last June and has just been living with it .

I told him about the TSB and he was going to take it in.

The silblades work very well for me at highway speeds.

Hey moron, i was trying to help by saying just get new wipers and dont bother the dealer about it. You will need them leter for other things. For example, my battery died and they gave me a new one. Thye didnt have to, i'm entitled to pay half and labor while im under warrenty for a battery. They gave it to me because i never bother them about stupid things like wipers. And if i were a dealer i'd give you more than you can handle, so watch your mouth around here and read what people right. You are a fresh face around here and so am i, but i learned how these guys work. And everyone doesnt answer in generic type of ways.

First off, in my thread, where did I say I was going to bother the dealer over wipers? You show me where I said those words and I'll bow down. But if there is a TSB out, then when I'm in getting my next oil change wouldn't it be a good idea to get them to replace the wipers too? I never said I was going to get into a pissing match with the dealer for the blades.

Secondly, WTF about watching my mouth and "fresh face"? This is an open forum to all. I can express what I feel is appropriate. Just because you have more posts than others does not mean you've been here the longest.

All I wanted to know if there is a TSB , and the response I was looking for was either YES or NO.

BTW, responding with "Hey moron" does make you the "bigman".

goaub: according to "bigman" tell your friend not to bother, as it's too petty for the dealer.

Thanks jkozlow for the link, just bought them from that site. I'd been looking for silicone wiper replacements and the price couldn't be beat.

Wash n Wax--I wish I could take your advice and move to SoCal, where it doesn't rain much...though I could do w/o the quakes--I was in the Loma Prieta quake of '89 (I know, NORTHERN Cali), my senior year in college, was no fun.

I was doing some shopping near my dealership today and I popped in & spoke to the service mngr. regarding my smeary wipers. She advised that there is no TSB for 02' TL's but would change out the tubing, reservoir & blades as my TL had an earlier serial #. That was nice of them.

These silblades look awesome, but how do they handle under very high speeds?

I have those teflon winter blades on my car right now, and while they do work very well under snow/ice conditions, past 130 km/h, the blades are like 2 inches off my windshield! It's very amusing to watch but then you realize you can't see a thing because the wipers aren't doing anything

Also, what about those PIAA silblades? Are they the same thing? Those look a bit more cool

I try to keep it under 70 mph since I've got 8 points on my license now

Not sure about the PIAAs. Try them out and let us know.
