Trunk Light?
Does your car have aftermarket spoiler? I know that after I installed the spoiler the trunk light became tempermental. It is a very small wire that engages the light that I really didn't feel like messing with to fix it.
Once the trunk is open the light should come on. If you have a spoiler and that light doesnt work anymore then the guys who installed it yanked a wire too hard and it made it loose. The 3rd brake light and the trunk light wires are all tied together.
yea like Bxscig said the light should come on when the trunk lid is opened. look in the trunk in the middle right near the the edge of the trunk opening, you will see the light cover. pop it off and see if the bulb is ok. if not maybe the wires got pulled loose

thanks Bxscig,
this isnt for my car first oh all....
to begin the light in the trunk was out so my friend thought it was just the bulb...then he tapped the wires to connect the leds but thoses didnt come on either. And the fuse box digrams dont specifically say which fuse is for the trunk light.
The interior lights in the car work fine....(dome, map and door lights all work)
So i'm guessing there is something wrong with the wiring in the back....
ANY COMMENTS OR thoughts on what is causing the problem

Oh ok, thought it was for a 2nd gen TL... well do this for me then... tell me what car it is and I will give another look. I have all if not most the wiring diagrams for cars 1990 to 2002, i am lucky that the wiring for the 03 TL is the same as the 02 TL

I am in nyc myself, not so far from li. well anyway, I looked it is a fuse 11 i believe passenger side which controls all of it.... white/blue wire coming out of that fuse box harness some where on passenger side to driver side then it continues to a harness and out as a white/blue wire to back as a white/blue wire again. dx,lx or ex??? it appears there are different wiring past that. dx,lx white/blue to orange and after the switch to black... on the ex... it is orange to brown to blue to black.
i could send u what i have on the trunk diagram.
