I really want to change the burlwood trim in my 01 TL to blackwood. I did a search on this and what I've found is that the trim on the doors cannot be replaced (easily atleast), since they are part of the entire inner panel of the door. My question is, if I can find the inner panels off of a 02-03 with blackwood from a junk yard or something, will they fit on the 01 TL? Don't the 02-03 have the extra section on the driver side by the door handle for the Memory seats? Thanks.

 

I would like to know this also. I want to change out my burlwood in my '99. The pieces are easy to get off of the doors.

 

the wood is the same. You can take teh wood of (being creative because it just doesnt pop off) or just replace the whole door panel

 

Has anybody heard of a place where you can send these trim pieces off to get the color changed? I know I saw them do it on Unique Whips once.

The wood trim pieces have plastic pegs that fit in holes in the door panel. Then the pegs are melted to attach them to the door panel. Yo can drill them out or grind it flush to remove them.
