Transmission flush

I have an 2001 TL with 70k, tansmission fluid is brown. Do i need to replace the gaskets and the filter as well or just the fluid. If i do need to replase the gaskets, what are they called

Fluid only. You can't get to the filter during a service - it's built into the unit. Also, there is no pan, so there is no pan gasket.

Just pop the drain plug under the car and let all that brown goodness drain from the tranny.

It is not recommended to "flush" our tranny. Just a simple drain and fill.

Thanks a lot to both of you! I just got off the phone with an Acura dealership and they told be the same thing. I was about to get ripped off by an AAMCO shop, they told me i need to replace some gaskets and it will cost me lot of $$$

you can do it yourself, its just like changing the oil. Pull the plug, let the 3.somethign quarts come out, put the drain plug in and fill er back up.

You dont think that AAMCO power purge would be better?

I don't think I've seen a Honda with red ATF in ages...but just drain/refill is the answer.
