Question Transmission fluid

When should the tranny oil be changed for the first time? The manual says either 30K miles or 2 yrs. I feel that since the fluid has never been changed, although it still looks clean, it's better to change it in case there is any shaved metal particle. Any idea?

I changed my transmission fluid at 35K miles.
BTW, how many miles do you have on your car? IMO, it's always better to be safe than sorry.

I had the dealer flushed out mine at 17,000 miles.

Mine has barely over 12000. It's a waste of money to change it now, isn't it?

Well the manual did say 30K miles so I believe 12K is a little too soon.
