Damn... everything seems great untill well last night I was driving my 1 month old TL... ( I only had it for a month) it has 81,000 miles on it" , I was driving on the highway all of a sudden the RPMS went up to 5,000 and she slammed on the 4th gear ... i got out an exit and I was driving up the street then the gears were going crazy, slamming slipping the gears were lost... most of the time the car was revving and slamming to different gears... what a shame... what an embarassing moment... I called my dad and he told me we have a warranty... called "Eagle Warranty" Hopefully they can take care of the transmission... how come my 1999 TL 4spd with 81,000 miles trans died compared with a 1995 Honda accord with 145,000 miles on the original trans didnt die? This is weird and its freaking me out... when u think of TL u think of a luxury sporty hot Acura.... compare acura to honda.... come on now this is pathetic... i am so pissed off right now.... its not fare... and I dont understand ... i never abused the car or anything.. i drive slow ! WTF?

 

well if you do a search on this forum you will find that acura has a problem with the trannies on the tl. you wont have to worry about it being covered, acura has extended the warranty on the TL transmission to 100k miles

 

its cus the honda didnt have a tranny recall. its irritating but dont sweat it. just take it to a dealer and they will fix the problem

 

thats weird, i dont think anyone else here has had that problem...

 

 

TLS is on its 3rd Tranny
CLS is on its 3rd as well .
