Transmission Cooler...
Looking at adding one on to my vehicle. I currently have 90k miles on my 2002 3.2 tl and its still going strong with smooths shifts. My Mom has the same car and has 145k miles and it is still running smooth as well. Both with orig. tranny's. Though all sounds good and feels good, the thought of failure has not slipped my mind. So I was wondering if any of you folks have a Tranny cooler installed on your car and if so...is it worth the 50bucks? I been looking at this guys page who has had his tranny rebuilt and you can see that his tranny didn't have a cooler installed...i find that odd...Unless I'm missing something? He has also installed a B&M Transmission Cooler Kit for only $50

The tranny cooler is a waste of money. They will not help because cooling the fluid is not the problem, it's the insufficient fluid supply to the clutch packs. They burn up because they don't receive enough fluid to keep them lubricated properly. Save your money.
As long as you are not towing a boat with the TL, a cooler wont help- for the reasons noted above
You do realize you activated the acurazine curse right?
A recent example being phee- who came on and proclaimed his 99 trans perfect and everlasting- on a car he just bought
It took about 7 to 11 days iirc, and blamamamam
goodbye trans
The amazing part was the dealer got Acura to cover 90 percent of cost, way past time limits.
