Tranny shift delay (frm Prk to Drive/Rev)
I get a delay when I shift from Park to Reverse and then the same delay to get it into drive. Does anyone else see this issue. Was the dealer successful in fixing it?

Well, how long is the delay? cuz the car might take longer then you expected to shift, we got torque converter and you are dealing with the computer instead of the actual gearing like manual tranny...
But if it's like really long, then you gotta take it to the dealer...
Good luck

I would say about 1.5 - 2 seconds... Enough that I have to make an effort to hold off hitting the gas before the shift takes place. Is it normal for this car. Do any of you notice the same somewhat small delay? I don't notice it on any of my other Honda cars.

Yeah I experience the same delay as you are refrerring to. I try to make that concious effort to not hit the gas before I feel it engage. I know if I take it to the dealer they will say it is a "characteristic of the car".
I think I should go test drive a friend of mines to see if it is the same or not.

Okay, I know what you are talking about, now... I think that's normal, but rather annoying to me.
I just keep my foot on the brake until I feel that it lock up and engage then I press on the gas and go...

I have that problem as well. There is a delay of 1 to 2 seconds. I asked the dealer but they said it was normal. However, I had a friend test my car (he has driven a lot of cars), but has never experienced this problem till now. It is my first run in with the problem as well. I have to go to the dealer for servicing in a couple of weeks so I will ask them again.

I've also noticed this. My '89 prelude had the same effect, in fact it was even more noticeable. I always thought it was kinda reassuring. I guess it conveyed a 'solid' feel to the tranny.
