tranny messed up?
how do you know if your trannys going out?
when im at a stop like at a red light, sometimes i feel a jerk, kinda feels like someone hit me from behind, and when im driving and accelerating, at times i would feel an extra jerk too. just wondering if that's a tranny problem. thanks

Sorry to break it to you but welcome to the club! I'd get it fixed ASAP!!! The last thing you want is for it to go when your driving on a highway. I almost got into an accident when mine went. Just take it in and they will get you a rental car for the week. Just curious, how many miles do you have?
It could be the A/C compressor activating. And at speed, I believe around 50 mph or so the torque converter engages and it makes it feel as though an extra "shift" occurred. Both situations are normal, assuming that is what is happening with your car.

What you year is your car? Remember, the warranty is only 4 yr 50k miles. I'd certainly get problems like that looked at prior to your warranty going out.
Could it be your tranny? On the lurching when stopped, I think it's your A/C engaging and disengaging.
As far as extra jerks when driving, it's common to get one jerk soon after starting the car (from cold) within 10-15 minutes of driving. It usually happens when you're going a constant speed of at least 40+ mph.
I recently got jerking/shuddering while accelerating as well (beyond what I wrote above). It turned out to be my front lower ball joints.

Mine does that. I'll be sitting at a red light and the AC / Defrost kicks on and my car lungs forward a bit..... exactly how you're talking.
Another thing I notice is a downshift when braking. Anyone else experience this? I'll hit the brakes to slow and all the sudden my car downshifts to 2nd and assists my braking.... kind of annoying. These transmission seriously fucks with the comfort of my ride. I'm still on a stock transmission.... does the new tranmission fix any of these issues?
