Tranny Issue or IACV?

This is the problem that I'm having. My car is as smooth as butter in park, reverse and neutral. When I put the car in D4 or SS it idles rough, not as rough as it was before I did the tings below. Could it be the IACV or is a tranny problem. The tranny was replaced last August and the car never did that before they replaced the tranny. Any suggestion or ideas on what the problem could be?

This past weekend I just cleaned my EGR port, that thing was totally clogged with carbon. Changed spark plugs (NGK IX) and changed the PCV valve.

Also I don't have a problem with the RPM's jumping all over the place like I've read that some have with IACV problems.

recheck spark plug torque - none loose- and all vac lines connection

IACV is usually a 1000 rpm jump from 1000-2000

ck front and rear motor mounts for vac booster, lines and condition of mounts- look for fluid leakage from it
ck vac lines from egr port job all got hooked up right- sometimes a vac hose end tears and wont seal tight - replace vac hoses as needed

did it do this only since you worked on it??- or since trans was replaced- which could be a tq problem or something

egr cleaning- you removed the manifold and TB- did you clean the IACV when it was all off the car?

Everything is connected right. I noticed this problem right after I got my car back when the dealer replaced the tranny. I took it back a few days later and they noticed it and said they didn't know what was wrong with it. But now that I think about it, it was something that they did, it wasn't like that before I took (had it towed) it to the dealer for a tranny repair.

Also, I didn't take the TB off when I took off the IM to clean the EGR port.

so you shook the manifold all around getting the rinse water out- with the TB attached?
how did you clean and rinse the manifold at all like that?

I always suspect the most recent work done but if you had a problem right after trans install you need to go back to the dealer
after rechecking all the last work you did- How exactly did you clean the egr port?

Sorry I guess I wasn't clear. I took only the IM off and left the TB attached to the the air intake (black hose). I followed the steps from the Acura Service Bulletin for installing that EGR pipe kit without taking off the TB.

Sprayed carb cleaner (2 cans) throughout the IM and rinsed thoroughly and then reconnected everything in the right place. I'll check again to be sure.

I will be making a trip to the dealer this weekend.

Im not getting the visual of how you did this without moving the TB in a funny way, or being able to clean the IM completely

was the recall installed kit there for the egr port?

No the recall kit was not installed for the EGR port and I did not clean the TB, just on the side where it went into the IM.

When you put the top IM cover on did you place the gasket on correctly, it fits 2 ways, 1 way is wrong and will cause shaking.

as I always say- suspect the last work done
