This started a couple of months ago, when pulling in to an intersection, you mash the accelerator and there is a significant lull. This was an irritant at first, but has gotten worse. Acura keeps telling me "it's in spec". Next service I'm going to tell them this is worse and is getting dangerous. Anybody else having this problem?

Not really sure what it could be....maybe clogged fuel injectors or fuel system? I think that's what happens when there is a lull in power/performance...

 

Not sure..how many miles u have?

sounds like mine, got my car back in jan, now with 7000 miles on it, couldnt find out how my car performed until yesterday racing this guy, step on the gas all the way down to the floor theres a lag and it takes while, others tell me they pick up speed quickly.... to me though feels gradually!

 

Just over 20 twenty Shoof. My wife said she has noticed it too. It started at about 15K.

i had the same problem, then my car started tripping on the freeway, it would downshift then upshift while i was maintaining the same speed, i took it to the dealer and they said i had a bad throttle body, so they replaced it and it's been working great, i thought it was the tranny at first or maybe even the ecu unit, so have them check your throttle body!!

Try a bottle of Techron and see if that helps. If it does, you had clogged injectors

 

If this it what it is, it's pissing me off. All that money for super unleaded & it's a fuel problem...
