Tranny fluid flush??

Just talked to my Acura service dept.--where I generally get good service--and they said they do a transmission fluid change for $55. Asked if that was a flush and he said "no, Acura doesn't recommend that". Really?

What do you all think?

My TL/S has 30,000 on the original tranny (no problems as of yet). I had mine serviced at the local Honda Dealership and they told me if the tranny is working properly, they only do the fluid change. If there is reason to believe the tranny is malfunctioning (slipping, slow shifting) they recommend a flush. I am not sure how legitimate this information is, but thats what they told me.
