Tranny dying - what can I expect???
Taking my baby in to the dealer tomorrow - what should I expect?
Will the tranny be new or refurb? Can I expect it to last? Or will I be doing this in another 30k? Also, will the car drive any differently?
Told me about a week start to finish (couple days to order the parts & couple days to do the work).

expect a worry free car until about 120k then cross your fingers or sell it. But based on your current mileage you have 4-5 more years
It sucks, but tell me about it I have 71k on mine and 4 trannys( including the original)and I planned on keeping this car as long as my last(93 accord w/180k)

I hope you're right
Want to keep the car for 7-8 years (5-6 more)!!!!!!
I know there are a bunch of whiny babies on the board that complain that there cars aren't perfect...I'm not one of them. Think its a GREAT car -- as long as I have that 100k warranty I really have zero worries

ya It's pretty obvious that the extra ponys found the trannys weakness, but hey thats how the pros do it. I just read about the saturn Ion that broke the land speed record. guess how they built the motor. threw NOS on it until it blew then replaced the weak link w/ a stronger one and so on and so on. Sound familiar?

worry about getting a good loaner, then you shouldn't worry too much, at least for a while after you get your car back. They should give you a brand new tranny. Enjoy the loaner, I got a 04 Maxima...had soooooo much fun with the car, did things I never would in my own car.
