Tranny Cooler

Has anyone installed a tranny cooler in TL-S 2003? I read some posts saying that there's no outlet of the fluid to install it, some said it already has a two-way cooler, some said it can be done, and some said it is a waste. Any suggestions? Anyone has had it installed by dealership? I like to try it.

I do drain and re-fill my tranny fluid atf-z1 every 10k or earlier when I don't feel it shifts right, and the drain plug always has a bunch of black residue and some metal shaving on it. This is really bad for any kind tranny with that kind of residue floating around.

Not worth it. It wont do any thing for your trans to help save it If you were to do it you would hook it up just like any other year with the oiljet (assuming you have it)

Thanks guys. I am not going to try it anymore. I just love the car so much that I want to do something to prolong its life, but I guess it wont help.

To prolong the life of your trans and whole car- keep all the fluids changed
People will change engine oil every 3-5k miles but go years without touching the trans.
Its simple to do at home at least once a year.
I also favor annual brake fluid flush and power steering drain and refill
