Tokico Illumina settings - please help

Gonna get Illumina's installed on Monday. I have Comptech springs and am tired of the bounce and jiggle.

I also do not want to read brail off the road. I'm looking for handling that is comparable to "stock plus 20% stiffness" if that makes any sense.

1. I was thinking 3 front and back to be safe, any thoughts?

2. Is the rear seat the only thing that stands in the way of adjusting the rear? I was thinking of asking the installer to leave the rear seat out so I can test drive and switch if necessary before "finalizing" the install.

3. Do I need to go even front and back or should I do 2 front/3 back to counteract understeer? (P.S. I already have CT sways which do this somewhat)

Thanks ni advance (and yes I STFA and didn't get these answers)

P.S. Koni ppl feel free to chime in!!!

I keep them on 3 in the rears and 2 on the front. You could go 3 on the front. You also could drill a small hole in the rear deck to access the adjustment screw without removing the seat.

Thanks for the reply.

Would you say the ride is comfortable or pushing the edge of harsh?

What would 3/3 be like vs 2/3, would it produce more understeer?

Our cars are originally setup with massive understeer right out from the factory. So you'll need to dial up the rear shocks to be firmer compared with the fronts, if you want the stock car to handle more neutrally.

But since you have CT sway bars installed, understeer has already been reduced considerably. So you may probably need to use the same firmness for both the fronts and the rears.

You really have to throw your car around to get a feel if you prefer some amount of understeer or oversteer, and set up your shocks accordingly.
