My friend has a 92 SC400. We came up to a red light, and i reved my engine.. He agreed to race me. Well, he killed me by a whole car length. I felt so bad.. I just told him i wasn't pushing my car. (I was.. like flooring it all the way.) I raced him with SS and with regular Auto. I don't really like racing with the SS, i do better with Auto. (Anyone master the SS yet? Any hints?) I feel really bad, all of my friends have older cars, but my 2001 is slower than all of them. How much performance would I/H/E give me?

 

That's a 4 liter V-8. Don't feel bad. Your friend should be feeling bad that he only beat you by one car length. Get more mods and that gap should shrink.

Seriously, that SC has 2 more cylynders, more power and less weight. Just be thankful it wasn't a 430...

I got pissed on by a vette twice. Like the rear left wheel of it literally went up and this fluid started to blasts at my wind sheild. Anyway, I don't feel bad at all. Seems like the only things that I can beat is a Ford Tempo or 88 Dodge Aries. I'm pathetic.

 

I got a beatdown by an SC400 and a Legend (both modified according to the some members here). That SC was fast. I beat the hell out of 528i and 328i or A4 all day, but those things just left me in the dust accelerating from 70MPH.
Doesn't matter, I love my TL anyway!

 

TL is not the fastest car... there's never a "fastest" car... it's pretty fast for a luxury sedan, and it can beat a lotta cars on the street. my friend's mustang beat me bad off the line... so? I don't give a shit... it's a Mustang! what can I say? if I really want some fast car, I'd spend the 30k on a Z28 SS or a Mustang GT...

But the thing is that i used to take this guy with my 300zx before. Now, with the TL, he gets me. My friend's Prelude gets him also, so does my other friend's 95 Maxima.

I wouldn't feel bad if a GS400 took me, or even a new SC400. But his car is old and slow because i think it has some problems.

 

anyway... I think the lude is a lot lighter, the maxima is with the manual tranny? and 300ZX? DUH! someone with a Mustang GT can take all of them, and someone with a vette can take them all again, and so on...
