Are you looking for a fiberglass box or a wood box?

The reason I'm asking is because a fiberglass box would be light, strong, fit perfectly and is a moderate DIY if you wanted to take it on yourself.

I've made a custom wood box that fits perfectly on the side of the trunk oppposite the car jack..it's for a 12" sub.. I'm going to be making a new box out of fiberglass to lighten the weight of the box.

It wasn't that hard making a "stealth box" you should be able to bang one out in a day of playing around with some MDF and a saw.

CJams custom steathbox, beautiful!

yes, i want to make it out of fibreglass, but i dont know what kind of supplies i would need, and i just thought buying one for a decent price would be easier.
can you please list what sort of supplies iw ould need, so i can head to the store and buy some, i am really interested!, pictures of your setup would be nice too, thanks so much.

allright I got to grab some batteries for my camera before I take pics.

The box hasn't been covered in carpet because I was planning on covering the wood box with aluminum sheet metal.

I'm thinkin about a custom fiberglass setup now....... with two 70lb 15inch subs I think I'll need all the weight conservation I can get.

This is probably one of the best and simplest DIY filberglassing page I've seen... It tells you everything from kick panels to subs ..... Enjoy.

You will be able to make a perfectly fitting custom box with the info on the link page...
