TL-S vs Nissan Altima??
Just browsing around Edmunds, i noticed videos from the NY auto show. One of them shows the 2002 Nissan Altima. It will offer an available 240 HP engine that will go 0-60 in 6.3...
Also saw that Infiniti has the 2002 I35 coming out and that will have a 260 HP engine.
Is everyone trying to duplicate Acura???

I did a little research - the 86 Maxima had the VG30DE engine - the same as was used in the 86 300ZX (I believe 160 HP). In 1986, without question, this was considered a performance sedan. Of course, in 2002, 160 HP would not qualify as performance. Maybe these facts will clear up what I was trying to say.

Whats a qualude?
A trademark formerly used for methaqualone.
Word History: The former trademark Quaalude for the sedative and hypnotic agent methaqualone is an example of how a product name is carefully chosen for a positive public response. Methaqualone was developed in the 1960's by William H. Rorer, Inc. At that time, the company's best-known product was Maalox, a digestive aid that derived its name from its ingredients, magnesium and aluminum hydroxides. To enhance the product recognition of their new sedative drug, the company incorporated the aa of Maalox into the name Quaalude. The other elements of the name are presumed to be a contraction of the phrase quiet interlude, a soothing, even poetic description of the drug's effect.
Basically, it's a downer... makes u feel real good though.
