Post TL-S stereo?

Hey all,

Does the TL-S have tweeters up high, like the CL-S??? or does it have the same sound system as the current TL???

Thanks,
Tiger.

From the pics provided by cchi (another forum member), I can't seem to see a tweeter on inner panel of the side mirror:

oracion, where did you find that list of "Technical Features"? Are you sure they are from a TL-S? Those are the exact specifications on a CL-S. Just asking because the dealer from whom I ordered my TL-S speculated that the stereo would be the 5 speaker version.

Walk-in feature is for a two-door car (further reasoning why those specs are for the CL-s). When you pull the lever to fold the seat so that someone can go into the back seat, the seat automatically moves forward for you and then back to the original spot.

Sorry guys. That indeed is a CLS pic. I got the pic from another forum member.

What? That pic is of the Type S TL at the show. You can see the rear door that is open at the right of the pic.

I know, but the "Walk-in feature" is definitely a CL (coupe) feature. What does a sedan need that for?

The Acura TL Type-S press kit, from the LA Auto show, states that the driver's seat is 8-way power with memory, (not 10-way); 4-way for passenger seat.

Can you hook up a CD Changer to the 6 disc in dash one? With the MP3 changers coming out I would rather not go through the FM radio and lose CD quality to hook one up.

Maybe I am calling it a changer, but a company called

Phatnoise.com is coming out with one that will hook into place of the CD changer. I think it comes with a standard 20 gig HD and you can hook it right up to your computer. It sounds like a nice concept once it hits. I know there are a few that are out there, but some make you erase over songs in order to add more. This one will let you just add songs when you hook it up to your puter.

Exclamation

I signed up for Phatnoise on the priority waiting list last July. Have heard nothing and don't think they're shipping any consumer products yet . If anyone knows differently, please let me know. Would definitely love to see the question answered though.

According to the press release on Acura's website, the TL and TL-S will retain the 4-speaker + subwoofer layout of the current car. Apparently the only change is the head unit with the 6-disc changer.
