I don't have the gauge, but I think it looks great...

the only problem you will have is that you don't get the TCS light cutout... and you got the VSA cut out instead...

The installation is fairly easy with instructions on this website

on my 2000 SSM TL:

It was very easy. Took about 45 minutes because I was very careful to not do anything wrong. The instructions are in the FAQ section. Those are what I used.

Looks good! But how do you know when to shift? hehe..I know the RPM is longer then the standard TL. And isn't the VSA the same thing as the TCS? Does the / ! \ light up?

you shift before the red, I usually shift around 6300 if REALLY getting on it (often)

if it hits red, that's almost the exact point where you get fuel cut off to avoid damage.

No VSA light, no TCS light, but who really uses them anyway? I sure didn't since I don't miss it at all.

doubtful they'd be available unless Tim got some more in (I got mine from him).

We can't buy them as everyday people, you have to give Acura "your" TL Type-S VIN number to order them.

i got my tl-s gauges from acura but it was a real pain in the a** cuz they will let you buy all of them except the tach...then you have to get a vin for a tl-s to order that one luckly i am pretty cool with my acura parts manager....i could probably get another set if anyone is unable to get them from there local dealer or tim....

What's up with that? What does Acura care who buys them. As long as you've got the cabbage, I don't see why they have to control who gets them. It's not like it's an auto trade secret or something. It's just a tach....

Isn't this the same Acura that wants us to keep our cars completely stock by threatening to void the warranty if we put in mods?

Well if acura is asking for vin#s then they didnt ask me for mine.I just got and put in my TYPE-S GAUGES on saturday, and it looks great. The color of the gauges is like a very very light silver and i love the look with my ebony interior.
P.S. i paid about $100 w/tax for all 3 gauges.

I thought the same thing about acura wanting a vin to order gauges either way you look at it we are still spending money with them...what the parts manager told me was cus the redline is off and they dont want us to blow up are cars by thinking that redline is 6800 instead of 6500 or what ever it is...oh by the way acura 3200 i payed like $105....and that is with 7% tax here in florida....
