TL pricing

Was offered $27,477 on a 2002 TL premium with the mud guards. When I asked about the 2003s, no deal, 29,400+. What do you think? Is the price on the 2002 acceptable?

thanks,

Ian

I bought a 2001 TLP at this time of year last year for 500 over invoice. I am not sure how this compares to your deal. Also for me the model was going to be freshened so it was not apples to apples.

That price sounds about right. I'm assuming the price they are offering you is w/o the Navi system. The Navi costs extra 2K and that would put you into 31K-32K.

This is what I got for a 03TL-S with Nav., wheel locks and splash guard. "2003 3.2 TL Type S with navigation, wheel locks, and splash guards is $32,631. "From the Acura site, this price is $1500 off MSRP. So, the 03 price your dealer gives you is full of it. Shop around.

That's a pretty fair price considering the invoice is 26802 (with destination), so they've only got 645 going to them (minus the mud guards). From where I sit I'm telling you that's a really good deal. Last year I paid $100 over invoice, and I looked this week about trading in on a 2002 Premium with Nav, but the problem is that there are a lot less TL's on the lot this year than last, so the deals aren't as good. The TL is a hotter commodity so to speak, so I wouldn't expect deals like people (like I) got on the 2001 this time last year. I really think that the price you were quoted is as good as it's going to get, and if you don't want the Nav, there really is no difference between the '02 and '03 so why pay the extra money? I say grab the deal.

Not quite an apples to apples comparison, but I paid $29.5K (Sticker was $31K) when I bought my '01 w/Nav. Once I added the the spoiler, wood knob and wood trim, it came close to $31K OTD.

I didn't know about this site then, otherwise I would've bought the mods here.
