Post TL Offer

I'm about to make the plunge for a 2001 TL. I'm being offered a Dark Emerald Pearl Ext. w/ Parchmant Int. Mud Flaps, Moon roof visor, burlwood shift, wood console trim for $26,865.00 + tax and tags. Is this a good deal or should I try harder? Also is the spoiler worth the extra cost? I need direction on this one.

Spoiler won't do anything performance wise. It's a question of if you like the look of it. You can probably beat them up on price since its expensive.

Have them throw in the spoiler for that price, because those options that you listed dont cost that much

I don't know how much your options are, but if you want to bargain off of the base model w/out options, you should try to submit a lowball offer through priceline.com. You can even try dealer invoice. If someone accepts, you can then try to negotiate the dealer options or do them yourself. Priceline charges $50 if you accept, $100 if you back out, and zero if they can't match your offer.

Thumbs up

Take it, the price is fine... between me and two of my friends the prices were 27150, 27200, 27300... I doubt you would get a better price even through the web...

You can go up to 2% of MSRP below dealer invoice. That's their holdback on 2001 TL's.

You are talking about Acura not Nissan or Mitsubishi... when did you ever hear of an Acura dealer negotiating up from invoice... they won't even hear of it...

the price that was quoted from the dealer is fare, but not great. I walked out with my non-nav TL for 26,800. My TL came with floor mats, mudguards, and a front lip. I am not sure how people deal with price in the US, but in Canada, we can ask for some unbelieveable prices. anyways, ask the dealer if they can give you the spoiler with that price.

good luck

You should get the car like 200 dollars below invoice. I've been offer 26k for non-navi and 28k with navi. With no options but you can but it at cost. Also ask for the oil maintance and paint scratch stuff for free.
Still thinking of which to get. O yeah does anybody know if you can watch TV on the Navi?
Buy the spoiler from snook it's only half the price of the dealer and it's fiber Glass hehe. Less weight=faster LOL
I will keep you posted for sure I will buy by tuesday
Thxs guys

Exclamation

I got my 2001 TL w/ Nav on Feb, 2001 for $28500, which was about 600 over invoice.
They *****ed at first about how impossible it was to sell at the price I was asking but after 1 hour of negotiations they let me have it. Just be sure to find out the invoice price before you go to the dealer.
And be sure to check your INTEREST RATE before you sign!. I went into the dealer knowing the interest rate being 7.7%. My dealer tried to sign me up for 7.85% until I almost walked out of the dealer. They finally let me have it with 7.7%.
