TL Navi is great... but should I wait?

I'm planning on getting a 2000 Satin Silver TL. I know the navigation for the TL is great but is it worth waiting for?

Today I went to Paragon Acura and almost bought a Silver 2000 TL with 46,000 miles for $22,500. I am still thinking about getting it... or I could wait until the end of July (when I really need to have the car) and see if I can find a 2000 in silver with navigation. Is it worth the wait?

Get the car with NAVI...

On another matter, I recommend RALLYE ACURA in Northern Blvd. at Roslyn, Long Island, as there's where I bought my new 3.2tl type-S '03 model (anthracite metallic). Talk to Anthony Muniz (tell him I referred you to him... his tel.# is 516-625-7070). I got the car at a real good price, w/NAVI & accessories/freebies along.

To keep it short, I did not have a very good experience dealing with Paragon Acura when I was "researching" the car. A friend of mine also dealt with Paragon about a year and a half ago and did not like the treatment he got from them either. Of course, if it works out for you there, then by all means go for it, ok?

If I were buying a new car, Paragon is probably the last place that I would go.

However, they have the largest selection of 2000's right now... I did check out Smithtown, Rallye (I had good experiences with every car I bought at a Rallye dealership.... 99 Lexus LS 400, 00 MB E Class) and Valley Stream. Right now I'm going to just look out for a Silver TL with Navigation. If I can find a pre-owned 02 in the silver or dark gray for a good price I'll get it.

Not without some significant modification including an RGB converter for the video display.

Aaarrghhhh

I don't know what to do! I can buy a 2000 in silver right now or... wait until the end of July and see if any LI dealers have a 2000 in silver with navigation but I doubt that I will be able to find a car thats in great condition as the one I looked at today. I think it's going to be even harder to locate one with navigation in such a short period of time.

I would love to have the navigation. Besides being an all-around excellent system, navigation also solves the problem of the what I think are cheap looking and feeling climate control buttons and dials. I know it's not absolutely necessary to have this option but I'm sure I could use it alot.... mainly I'll be driving from New York to Ohio for school, driving around campus, driving around Cleveland, and driving around LI which I know very well.

Thanks. Just for future reference, are there any Acura dealers in the area with good reputations and service?

Yeah, I go to Motorcars Acura in Bedford, where I bought my TL. I've been treated pretty well there, and they offer pretty good service.

There are only two Acura dealers in the area though; the other is Park Acura in Akron, a long drive for me. I got treated shabbily there when I was trying to buy a TL, and so I can't personally recommend them.

Thanks for the offer... but I'm not planning on buying the car in Ohio. Also, there are more than enough 99 Tl's at dealerships already and I'm just not interested in that car when the 00 is a 5-speed and has more safety equipent. Thanks though!
