TL at Mt. St. Helens
Took a road trip up to the mountain today. Only 2 hours away but this was the first time I'ld ever been to the blast area. The sways I installed on Monday sure make a difference in high speed turns, I would definately recommend them to anyone that doesn't have them yet.
oh man, you got the same tire/stock wheel setup i was looking at (except i was going for 225), and i was thinking about getting sways next week. when you go into high speed turns, do your tires sqeal? how long did the sway install take? sweet pic
That volcano sure looks different today. The last time I was there was a year after it exploded (which was years ago). I can't begin to tell you how many dead and broken trees there were all around. I think you are on that same road that leads up to the top and quits. If you look down at the base of the volcano just over that edge, there was a [large] river running crossways that was so jammed packed with logs, not only was it not moving, but also you couldn't tell how wide it was. Nice to see some green coming back....

3 hours?!? There are like 6 steps to the instructions, and isn't it just a bolt off bolt on thing? I don't remember it saying take off the tires . . . what did you use to lift up the car? can you use the jack in the trunk?

SilverStreak2kTL - Removing the tires makes it much easier to access the swaybars and linkage bolts. You won't need to take them off if your car's on a lift. You should also use at least a 2-ton floor jack and two jackstands and wheel chocks to support the car while you work under it. Your standard jack is not strong enough. It's only for changing a flat. Very dangerous to get under your car with only the standard scissor jack holding it up since you have to hold the linjage bolt with a 5mm hex wrenchwhile loosening the nut with a 14mm wrench.
I use a 3-ton jack and the above equipment.
