TL has been acting weird

Okay for the past 2 days the TL has been acting weird. Haven't took it to the Dealer yet because I am waiting for my dad to get back from vacation. First of all, I leave it on D5 and it feels like its downshifting and shifts hards. The max i can drive is 60 mph and whenever i try to go above 60 it redlines so I Cannot drive in freeways. The car also won't reverse. The Check engine light is on, TCS is on, and Maintenance required is on. Also the D5 flashes. What you guys think?

Sounds like your're ready to become a honorary member of the dead tranny club. What year is your TL and what is the mileage?

YAY! Contestant number one wins a TRIP TO THE DEALERSHIP, acompanied by severe agravation, confusion and disbelief. Once there, our contestant will be honored with the use of a LOANER CAR that in no way will compare with the refined feeling of operating a mundane 3.2TL... All rules subject to warranty limitations as well as age and amount of bitchin'.

Think of it as a mod that will produce less performance increase than a Type-R sticker.

At least it is free... right?

It's a common pattern that once the original transmission goes out, the replacement trannies will keep breaking. A lot of people are on their 3rd, 4th transmissions. Fvcking piece of shit Acura engineering. :sqntfawk:

It's your tranny, but you may be in luck, Acura finally figured out that they were packing the third bearing incorrectly, as of Feb 2004. So you might get a tranny that will last.

I am getting the TL back tomorrow. Good thing the transmission was covered by warranty. Couldnt stand driving the Kia Rio for 4 days lol felt like a beat up car, but other than that I cannot wait till I start driving the TL again, just hope the transmission doesnt die again. I'm gonna start having to baby it.
