Tinting advice needed

it has a little mirrorish look to it because of the metallic particles.

dont forget to get a good night sleep and take a deep breath before going into the shop
seriously though, if they do a good job, you should tip the installer a few bucks.
i have formula1 tint on my mr2 as well... 35%... it is available only at authorized dealers. do a google search for "formula one tint" and you should find their homepage (i don't recall off the top of my head). it supposedly will never fade or turn purple. if it ever fades, peels, bubbles, etc, take it back to any formula one dealer for free reapplication, assuming you still have your receipt.
they told me they will only do up to the legal limit at the dealer i went to.

The tint is on and here are the details:
I wound up getting 35% black tint all around. The next darker shade he had was 20% and that would have been too dark for inspections, etc. I wish he had something closer to 30%, but oh well. Anyways, he didn't tint over the dot matrix, but he did the entire back window right up to it. Surprisingly, it actually looks really good. He used a metallic tint made by Madico, and I haven't noticed any difference in radio reception.
Total cost: $150 with a lifetime warranty against cracking, bubbling, etc. Overall, I'm very happy with it

LISTEN UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Go some place reputable and make sure they offer you some sort of warrantee. Nothing necessarilly long-term, but just something that says they're going to back up their install. Watch out for that cheap dot-matrix crap. MOST IMPORTANTLY....DO NOT roll down your your windows after they do the install. They should tell you 48-72 hours. I doubled it to assure that my tint adhered completely. Good luck!!!
