To tint or not??

OKAY, here's an update for you guys (sorry no pics don't have my cam with me....) ....i got my car back from the tint shop, after tinting 15% on all windows.....looks friggin PIIIIIMP. i like it. it's perfect.....now if only i had done this last year, i could've saved $495....or actually $300, since i have to do it once.......i'll get pics up by tuesday if anyone cares by then......just keep in mind that 15% is awesome....good luck guys. -shawn

Llumar tint is one of the best tints on the market. I have an '02 NBP TL-S. I went with 35% LLumar Stealth all around. If I had it to do over again, I would do 35% on all the side windows and 20% on the rear window.
The tint shop should tint all the way to the top of the side windows. Don't go to a shop that leaves a 1/2 gap on the top of the side window. Make sure they do the rear window in one piece and they tint behind the taillight in the window.
My tint shop tinted up to the dots in the rear window but not over them. With the 35% you can't tell where the tint stops and dots start. If you tint over the dots make sure the shop knows what they are doing.
One you have a car with tinting, all the cars you own point forward will have tint.
Tint is the best mod I have done to my TL-S

llumar is on e of the best tints, that is what i have.
However, I think it is illegal to tint over that back light in the windshield, any shop will know to cut around it but I think it looks good. Most shops will do their best to get those dots to look as good as possible since they show up in the tint, but it is the same on any BMW, acura, honda, etc... with the dots on the back windshield.
Go at least 20% all the way around. Trust me. It will look sweet and still classy on your white TL. 35% is way too light, during the day you can definitely see through it like theres nothing on it. I used to have that. Get 20% all the way around or 15% on the back windshield and 20% everywhere else.
I'll try to post some pics of my car soon.
20% looks very dark since we already have that slight greenish sun tint on the windows and the Llumar tint is not died so it will not fade (not supposed to )
