im getting tint soon. any good pics of your tint and what % it is?

 

15% tint right here and i think its perfect... imo... not too dark not too light

 

20% tint. looks darker because of the wdp

15%???? mine is 20% and it looks way darker than that.

 

i agree 15% is perfect for a daily driver.

 

It depends what look you want. For a classy/not too dark look go with 35%.
For the sun and privacy go with 20% or 15%. Or if you're very serious about your privacy, 5% (limo tint).

I have 20% and I'd get 15% if i could do it again.

 

35% front, 20% rear and I love it.

I have 30% and it looks good IMO.

My friend has 35% all around and 50% on the windshield and he can see fine at night and during the day. When you are looking into the car though it is a different story, you can only see shadows of the people in the car.

 

i have 18% all around and i love it b/c it's dark but not like ridiculously hard to see out of at night. it does take some getting used to.

and to OP, i recommend whatever is legal in ur state

 

15% sides and rear, 35% windshield

 

^^ wow.... love that tinted windshield... makes me wanna do mine but i'd prbly do like 50% to be safe...

 

18% carbon all around for me..no pics yet cuz my car is dirty but I will put em up if I take some. Oh and get the rear defroster dots painted or something cuz right now it looks a little weird on mine..but I'm gonna paint them soon...

 

yeah mine looks spotty...only from up close. but it still bothers me. a shop wants 200 to do it. i originally only paid 200 to do all the windows except windshield

Also to the OP.. I would go with the same tint all the way around. It looks way cleaner. Make sure you ask for the vinyl on top of the rear window! Although I'm sure a tinting professional already knows they have to do that.

 

i have 20% on my EBP but it doesnt look as dark. I was planning on redoing the tint, but im jsut going to keep it the way it is and pay for the tint on my new car.

5% if you want darkness!

In my opinion. 15-20% would be good since our TL windows are big allowing more light to come through, thus, needing darker tint. so it's in the middle from super dark and super light

35% if you just want a hint of tint

50%... depends what you like, but don't bother getting tint at all...lol

 

You say your 17, huh? Depending where you are from, I would more than likely avoid 15%. I'm 21, from Long Island and can say I have never been pulled over for my tints alone, but when I was speeding and went through a stop sign I received a tint ticket in both situations. Keep in mind I have tan interior seen below with 20%. Day-time you can see in a little, night time = looks blacked out

 

but 18% is WAY beyond what's considered "legal" in illinois haha

 

true true. my parents recently found out about my ticket and might be making me remove it. which blows

 

where'd you get the ticket? so i know where NOT to drive with the tints since i live in BG too haha

 

Out in Kildeer right near Deer Park. It was the end of the month. I've driven past plenty of cops in BG, Lincolnshire, and Vernon Hills

 

I have 30% and I'm pretty satisfied with it, mostly because it's legal.
