Tint

Hey guys I just got my WDP TL-S w/ ebony last week, and I'm trying to get tint. I've heard of people having problems with air bubbles on the back window, at the top where there's like a fish net type of setting. Has anyone had a problem with this? And if so what's the solution?

Thanks,
Gilbert

I've heard mixed opinions on this subject....... some say that if the tint is done right, it doesn't effect your radio or navi signal, which the stuff at the top of the back does.

A friend of mine just didn't tint that area and it looks pretty sweet... it's a personal preference......

I tinted my tls all the way around with 35%. On the rear they advised me not to try and tint the "bubbled" area as it would most likely not take very well. it looks just fine w/o tinting that area.

I have 35% Llumar Stealth tint on my black TLS. 35% is the darkest allowed in Georgia. My tint shop suggested the same to not tint over the top band in the back. It looks great can't tell unless you know and look very close.

the whole back window in my TL-S was tinted, even over the dot-matrix part....it doesn't look so bad. Everyone knows it's impossible to get it perfect over that area, so nobody says anything when they see it. If there's something that can't be helped, there's no use in complaining about it.

so should i rule out mirror tint? cause i thought that mirror tint would look great on a WDP. but won't it look weird with either bubbles or me just not doing the top part?

I have 3m mirror tint on mine and it looks great, even though i did not tint the antenna. One thing to remember is most good tint shops have a lifetime guarantee as long as the tint is legal in your state so if it does bubble take it back and tell them to redo it and this time dont do the antenna.

I'd love to see some examples of how the tint looks, seems like most of the people who show their cars here don't tint. I'd especially like to see the mirror tint.
Thanks!
