Timing belt question

Im sure this has been beaten to death but had a quick question. Now im a past due on replacing my timing and other parts to get her back in shape. Im know to use only honda/acura parts. Now i was looking on ebay and saw the kits i know dealerships dont sell kits but this seems legitimate. Can anyone let me know if this is all i need and or if i should not waste my time. I apologize advance for my post but i just gotta double check with you pros, any help will be much appreciated.

That kit is really cheap. If it's original equipment parts it's a good buy. There is also an idler pulley that I would replace at the same time.

WOW, $139 free shipping??????? He says, they are OEM honda parts OR they are made by the same companies that Honda uses. Maybe he gets them as honda does, but without the Honda packaging and part numbers.

IMHO, I would get the OEM Acura timing belt. If the aftermarket replacement belt breaks due to poor quality, you will be looking at one expensive repair bill! Not worth the hassle.

I got the parts for the timing belt job on my daughter's 2002 TLS from auto parts warehouse. They had the Honda packaging and looked to be genuine Honda parts at quite a bit below the dealer price.

Did they advertise that they were OEM parts, or you didn't know until you rec'd them?

The idler pulley is separate. There is a timing belt tensioner which pivots and has an idler pulley as part of it. There is another separate idler pulley on the other side of the belt. In addition to these there is the water pump, the belt, and a spring loaded tensioner. You can probably reuse the spring loaded tensioner if you have access to a strong vise to re load it, or the shop manual suggests a procedure to hold it compressed using one of the battery mount bolts.

I have in the past purchased many Honda parts on eBay from the seller " NV Thai " that were priced cheap and shipped fast.
