ticking noise
On my way home from work i got stuck in the snow on a side street n took the traction control off so i could spin my tires to get out. After that i started to hear a ticking noise from my engine only when i tap the gas even the slightest bit. I have AEM CAI dont know if it could of sucked anything up. I also poped the hood when i got home n tried hitting the gas to hear where it was coming from but couldnt really hear it over the engine n intake.

I have it as well, but only when it is extremely cold
Do you hear it by the rear passenger door? I have that problem sometimes when my car is extremely cold. My mechanic tried explaining it to me. Something about the catalytic converter (sp??) being too cold or something like that. He basically told me that it wasn't really a problem. You will also notice that it will go away once your car warms up. I'm sure my really technical description helps. Maybe someone more car savvy can shed some light on it.

the ticking he may be hearing is a noisy FPR. many have this issue when cold. its located under the hood and many are confusing it with noisy lifters

Sorry, I must have been on crack when I wrote my response. I hear it by the rear Drivers side door as well. Not really sure why I said passengers. I have never even walked to that side to try and hear it...
