Talking Throttle Question

If I replaced my throttle w/a Type-S throttle, I was wondering if that would give me more torque as well as top-end hp. If anyone could reply w/their opinions, please do. Thanks.

Since the Type-S throttle body is larger than the regular TLs, it should give you some gain in the top end. You will, however, need to port match it to the intake manifold. Also, you might want to do the I/H/E first before doing the throttle body.

You can get your throttle body bored out, but you will need to find a machine shop to make a custom throttle plate to fit into the new bored out throttle body. Plus, you still would need to port match the intake manifold.

jc whitney sells a bbk edelbrock high perf throttle body for acuras (all) 92-2000, i believe it's 62mm. since the "res" won't be available for 99's this could be a good alternative . $300.00 5-8 hp gains? i'm trying it out, let ya know! kman

I believe they only make throttle bodies for B-series engine only, meaning for Civic/Integra/Prelude.
