Thinking of buying a helm manual for car but would like a couple questions answered.
I am thinking about buying one of the helm service manuals and wanted to ask someone that has one what all is covered in the shop and service manual....does it only cover things partaining to the engine or does it have info on the inside of the car as well...

I am not sure it'll help, but you should go to their web site first and check it there...

It does both. All engine, plus interior electrical, interior components, interior trim, exterior trim, exterior body panels. This is the manual that Acura gives its service techs to work on your car. So it has to have everything in there. And it does. Very thorough--I wouldn't own a car without buying one.

I actually just got one and it has everything about the car. BTW, there is no markings to suggest this is published by Helms, rather it says Acura on the manual and as such it is the real service manual that Acura uses. You will not believe the size of it. The 2002 suppliment is about 1/2 inch thick and goes to show you that there are really a lot of differences between the 1999 to 2001 and the 2002.

I have two. One is the electrical trooble shooting manual. That has indepth wiring and Pin breakdowns and pics of harnesses.
The other is the Service manual and it has mantainance,A/C, Body, electrical, Engine, Tranny, Body(panels interior/exterior, Fuel system, specs and SRS. I think that is most of whats in that one. Both are essential if you like to work on your own car.
I think if you look at the back of the owners manual, there is a number for helm. Thats how I got my 2 books.

when you go to helms web site put in the year and
TL not 3.2TL and then you should see the service manual if not just call helm and ordered it that way.....but if you have a 2002 you will have to order the service manual for 99-01 and the update for 2002....it cost me like $100 but it will be well worth every penny.....

Thanks guys, I finally found it. I dont understand why they make it so difficult for you to find it. So I whould need to get the serice manual for the 01 and supplement for 02(I have a 02 TL-S) and the electical is a must. What about the saber, inspire, and black manuals? What are they for, and damn these things arnt cheap either.

hey ferrari527 you must of not seen one of those manual yet...they are huge...that would be a lot of copying for someone...
hey wangx56 yes you will need both the service manual and the supplemnet...but my suggestion would be to hold off on the electrical until after you get you service manual because it has quit a few schematics in it and you may find that you dont even need the electical book....just a suggestion....
