There's a helicopter under my car!

Okay, another for the weird noise department. The car doesn't do it all the time, but I've been noticing it more and more.

After the car has been running at normal operating temperature for a while (at least 30 minutes), if I park it and let it idle for a bit (like parking and waiting for the wife to come out of a store--that can take a while ), if I step outside the car on the driver's side I can hear what can best be described as the sound coming from the rotors of a miniature helicopter underneath the car. It's sounds like it's coming right from the B-pillar area, but directly underneath. It's also definitely coming from the driver's side as it is way more noticeable on that side. It's like I can hear the rapid individual air pulses the engine is sending out the exhaust.

Naturally, the first thing I thought of was exhaust or muffler leak but everything appears normal. It doesn't do it when the car is cold, and it doesn't do it all the time even when the car is hot (although it might and I just don't hear it when the car is in motion, and also because I don't usually get out of the car much when it is running). I definitely cannot hear it from inside the car unless I put the windows down.

Anyone else have/hear this? The car doesn't seem to be affected by this in any way.

Get under your car and tighten the exhaust bolts. I had the same thing and found that I could tighten the bolts some. They weren't off or noticably lose but they were lose enough for gas to escape.

I hear the exact same noise.
I swear to God, they shoud have equipped this car with a 300W stereo so I wouldn't have to listen to all the rattles. Went to a dealer with a list of 8 places that needed to be fixed for noise. They fixed 3 (driver seat will have to be replaced), told me they lubricated some other stuff - but rattles are still out there.
I'm sending a little letter to Acura, I'm getting tired of it.

Glad to see I'm not alone with this. Doesn't seem like it adversely affects anything. I'll climb under this weekend and check the exhaust bolts.
