Tein SS Problem

So my back was dropped a lil lower than the front for a few weeks and now its a BITCH to raise my car up in the back. I even pulled the suspension out of the car and used a huge torque wrench n connected it to the tein wrench and it barely budged, i was able to get it up about 5 rings and then it wouldn't go any more! wtf is goin on, is there dirt or something in the thread ?I even cleaned up the thread with a metal brush and it still is nearly impossible to turn. WTF can i do? The wrench had to be set at over 90 lb torque to turn the bitch. and the ring isn't that strong because some parts of it get dented from the pressure of the wrench....

im thinkin i might just have to buy 2 rear suspensions

could be dirt in the threads, but you may just simply need to compress the spring to relieve some of the resistance..

Have you thought about renting a spring compressor, compressing the spring, then moving the ring up?

mine get stuck alot from all the dirt in the threads, but i've never had to struggle that hard to move them. remember...going down is alot easier than coming up, because you are forcing the spring to compress.

i forgot to add that the spring was compressed when i was trying to adjust it up too, i have a feeling too much dirt is in there....i cleaned the path that it was going to travel with a brush too. I was wondering is there a way to take the ring completely off of the suspension?

Call Tein. They sell those rings separately so they must come off somehow. 562-861-9161 give them a call.

good idea to spray wd or something on the threads periodically

The whole thing is just parts stacked on on top of a shock assembly-
so the rings do come all the way off

Spray some more penetrating lube, let sit overnight, with spring well compressed you use the wrenches to pull the nuts opposite directions- actually hold the upper while you loosen the lower- which is considered the locking ring
The upper is the positioning ring for the perch
