there is a way to reset it, just do a search, its something like holding the reset button and keeping the key in the 2nd position.

Read the MANUAL... j/k

I did it myself also after driving for about 4k with the maint light on all the time. It got annoying.

I think you put the key in til II then hold the select and reset(on right of gauges) for 10 sec and then while holding the buttons turn the car on. It should disappear. If not look in your manual...

The Maint. Required light is not a light that tells you if something is wrong or anything. It's simply based on the mileage of your odometer. Even if you changed your oil every 100 miles (for arguments sake) it'll still light up every 7k miles or so. The Check Engine light is one that should be taken as important.

The light goes off of the service. 7500 1500 22500 etc. At about 6000 the blinking is short but the closer you get to 7500 the longer it blinks. Once it hits 7500 its always lit. Just reset and you will be fine.

its just a dummy light to get you to bring your car in to get the oil changed. like Mr said, hold in the reset button and select button for 10 sec while turning your car to the run position. dont start it just bring it to the position right before it starts. just reset it every time you change your oil. most places forget or dont know how to reset it after every oil change
