sunroof window question

Is the sunroof window tinted from the factory with a film, or is the glass tinted internally ? I just got my windows tinted and the fronts are a bit dark. If the sunroof window didnt have a tint, it would make things better for driving by law enforcement. Does anyone have any ideas - other than remove the front windows and go to a lighter tint ?

tint is in the glass,,many like to add film to that to keep temps down inside the car

for you its stay legal- if fronts are not allowed- take it off
cops everywhere are looking for that
Seems that some bad guys also like dark tint- to hide weapons etc

otherwise drive with sunroof open,,only drive on sunny days
or really bad weather days when a cop doesnt want to get out and bother with you..
drive by cops with front windows down?

I dont know the truth behind it, but when I went to get my car tinted, the shop owner recommended me not to tint the sunroof because it expands and contracts with heat, and he has seen tint hold that motion back and as a result crack the sunroof.
Again, I dont know the truth behind it, but I'd assume thats maybe why the glass is tinted internally from factory.

Ive had tint on my car since I first got it; 20% all round minus windshield.

I always go past cops with my windows up never ever a problem. (Even at 3 am when the road is empty and its only the copper and me)

idk why I never get bothered for it..I do have a shield in the front, FOP.

different states are catching up with the no front door window tint-
or at least light enough to see thru

Some states have made it a primary offense- can stop you just for that!!

Correct, in our area in Michigan they are pulling people over just for tint. The window tint guy told me " 35 would look good all around because of the tan interior" but - i think the fronts look a little to dark. On my last car I had a sun roof and it didnt have a factory tint, so i would just slide my sunroof open and the front windows would lighten up.

Opening the sunroof is a good solution ! I was looking for interior led lighting on the threads and have not seen them. I think a potential solution would be some bright led interior lights to just turn on when driving past cops.

The ultimate solution would be remove the fronts or go to a 50%, but it would not look nearly as nice.
