sunroof issues

so i went to the dealer to get my 75000 mile maintenance checkup and they reset the maintenance required light. so a few hours later i decide to open my sunroof which i had used in the morning before dropping the car off at the dealer...well as I was opeing it i noticed the motor sounding substantially louder and the sunroof itself moving a lot slower. I know that when they were trying to reset the light it wasn't working so what i think they may have done is disconnect the battery or something at somepoint cuz my clocks time was off. Has this type of thing happened to anyone before? I will be taking it back to the dealer on Monday and when i called to tell them what had happened he said well there is no reason why it should be different cuz they had no reason to touch the sunroof, but i know that something is askew! if anyone has any knowledge as to why this is happening could you please enlighten me!

ok so now besides that problem with the sunroof, after coming home from working at the bar about a mile away from my house the friggin' check engine light comes on! Has anyone had any issues such as these after taking the car in for the scheduled maintenance? Could they have messed soething up in the computer while resetting the it to stop the maintenance required light from flashing?

well for one i dont waste my money on the scheduled maintanacne for 2, to get teh main light to stop, its just a matter of pressing and holding the trip and rest buttons then turn the key to the run position and hold the buttons for 10 sec. there is no reason from doing that that the sunroof should be going slower. as for the check engine light? bring it back to the dealer

well typically I don't waste my time with that either but it was to be my first check since purcahsing the car in feb. And I tried that technique to reset the maintanence light but it didn't work so the service guy took my car round back and had one of the techie look into it and gave it back saying it was fixed but I noticed the clock was now really off, so they must have done something besides holding that button in to reset the light.

about the only reason the clock would have been off is if they adjusted teh time or they disconected the battery

ok so by the replies on this thread I see no one really is interested....but I feel like writing this stuff anyways. the reason for the engine light coming on is that apparently my catalytic converter is deteriorating, which they said will cost 1473.00 parts and labor, the sunroof is fine.

is that quote about right for that or too much? I bought the car from a honda dealership and that is the same place I got the service done and the quote from. Acura dealership is not close to eiter my work or home so there is no convenience.

How many miles on your TL? Looks like your dealer does not know what they are doing?

hey man, i've brought my car to them ACURA OF BOSTON on a couple of occasions

1- to replace a tire with a bubble and they put the new tire on the wrong wheel...

2- to replace rotors and they loosely connected the battery causing the car to stall in the middle of kenmore square that same day.

i haven't been back there since...

BTW where in Mass do you live?

Yeah that's the other thing that keeps me from going to acura of boston, i went there a couple times and the people that work there look really sketchy......

I live in medford, work in lexington...the honda dealership(herb chambers) I bought my car from s just a few exits down 95 for me thats why it easier for me to get stuff done there.
