Sunday Morning car Wash
I'm on my way to the East Bay this morning for a little mini meet with a couple guys from the forum when I pull into a touch-less car wash for a cleaning. The attendant who didn't seem to speak English held up a menu for me to pick a wash. I pointed to the 20.00 wash and went inside to get a coffee. While inside they had one of those windows that look out into the conveyor belt of cars being washed. So I had me a look see; one after another cars went buy and soon there she was, my ride. It took me a second but I soon realized that the cars stance was uneven. The left side of the house seemed to be higher then the right. Confused, I went outside to where the cars exit the wash and waited for my car to come out, sure enough the left side of the car was perched on top of the guide rail, being lifted up by the OEM Lip.
Now this is my first time at this wash, I usually go to a place out in the south bay; but every time i go there they charge me xtra cuz the car's too low for the rail. That I can deal with, but this.... I mean it had to make some sort of sound when it got on the rail cuz it made a horrible sound when it came off but nobody did anything. At least ten guys in the wash area and nobody did a thing. they even went on like nothing happened and dried off the car and told me to have a nice day......
So I take the keys and ask for the manager. The manager comes right out and asks me what the problem is. I show him the bumper and the rear wheel. upon inspection of the car I noticed that the rear right wheel has something that looks like curb rash on a small section of it. His first line of defense was to say that it's not possible, that the car wasn't too low for their tracks and that I probably just didn't notice it before.
Well an hour later, after a long talk with the guy and a little demonstration, he agreed to take care of it (or agreed to file a claim and to pass it on to the "General Manager"). But I couldn't prove that the damage on the wheel was done by them so they won't claim responsibility for that.
Anyways, the damage to both the bumper and the wheel really isn't that bad. It was just the carelessness of the employee's that got me upset not to mention the manager being such an ass (reminded me of the acura service/warranty department LOL).
- So that's my rant, thanks for listening -

Yeah I know, i know, I woke up late and didn't have time to pull out the hose and ragz...... bad move.....
update:
I caled the general manager this morning and he quickly explained that they had a disclaimer posted that stated "We are not responsible for damages to customized vehicles" so I told him that he'd be hearing from my insurance co. soon.
I'm waiting for a call back from my claims adjuster.
