Sun Visor - A Nail Sticking Out on the Rod End.

My sun visor hanging rod has a wire sticking out at the end, exactly like a nail. It freaks me out. What a safety hazard issue. Anyone has the same problem.

It is firm and can't be pushed back by hand. I hammered it back in. Luckily I didn't get a bloody head since I use it everyday, swinging it in and out.

Try pulling the sun visor on that end to the right to get the "nail" back inside the visor.

I tried but that didn't work for 3 reasons, so I hammered it in.
1. Visor is fixed, not slideable.
2. Visor sits in a dent or recessed, if slideable, it would hit the right side bump of the reading light.
3. If slideable, the visor hanging point would be off balance with the hook, and may not fit on the hook properly.

or cut off the nail or whatever it is (it looks like what the support for the plastic on the pivots might be), just know that you might need a new visor if it keeps coming out
