Sucked Up Water Need advice/help
So today, my car sucked up water n died out.
We took out the spark plugs, n ran the water out in the middle of a parking lot. Water shot out like 20 feet.
Changed the oil 2 timee since it was milky.
Car idles preddy smooth but the car hesitates wen acccelerating. Engine check light comes on at mid to high rpms.
Any advice??
I was thinking about changing all the spark plugs n seafoam to help get rid of any moisture n wat not.

i would change out the plugs and then take it for a long drive to see if you can dry out the moisture in the motor and see if that helps

I was driving in the far left hand lane. Coming up on 2 lanes under about 6-10 inches of water, i move to the far left hand lane. This lane had about 3-4 inches of water. Im slowly but surely making it through wen a freakin 4x4 truck comes speeding by. Water splashed all on the hood winshield. Im assuming the wave that washed over from his lane caused a unsurge of water into my lane n my car died.
Preddy lame of me next time ill just stop n hold up traffic behind me.
Its a lessoned learnd for me..

yeah the same exact thing happened to me the other day. i was creepin down a watery raod when a hummer flies by and splashes my car, and it stalls out. i ended up gettin out and shakin the intake filter up n down tryin to get as much water out as i could.
my foot wasnt on the gas at all when i got splashed so im thinkin the intake didnt suck much up. i waited a few mins and it started up with a little bogging down of the engine. then it ran fine for the rest of the day. i just cleaned the filter out and everything seems fine now.

Had a similar experience leaving work last week. I couldn't see the intersection in front of me because of the traffic, and as I'm going through I realize there's about 2-3 feet of water. I see the SUV in front of me going through it no problem, but my CL's lowered atleast 2 inches. I have a stock air box with a K&N filter, but I removed the resonator, so I may have sucked up some water. I'm just glad I don't have a CAI. The engine was not running right for a couple of days until stuff kinda dried out. I'm pretty sure the belts threw some water up into the engine bay cause I had a misfire code right after and the VSA exclimation came on.
