will fit, but ur gonna need to take off your stock one. i would leave the stock on one on since it ties both strut towers and the firewall.

my leave the stock on, and add a neuspeed or comptech.

the stock upper bar ~appears~ to mount to the firewall, but look at the actual bolts and its just barely there- but it needs to be to locate the fenders and firewall!

A lower frame crossbar - Cusco from MrHeelToe.. works great to stabilze the lower end of the suspension mounts and really tighten the handling

An extra upper bar in additon to the stock bar will add even more
Dont remove the stock upper bar- add to it

BUT IMO do the lower bar first or the car will never be right-
it flexes too much in a simple lane change stock- lock the frame rails together and it instantly tightens the car--for about 90 bucks.
Then you can build the suspension around a solid mount in space and time

raj I thought it was a major mount at the firewall too- until I used a mirror to see what little metal is there,
it is important and I would not remove the the stock bar because of it

Bar makers know this and make units that attach to the unused bolts on top of the strut tower, the stock bar uses the other bolts--note there are 5 in total so no prob with 3 and 2--that holds the top shock mount tight so the shock doesnt move under load and change the alignment/tire angles as bad as they do now

raj- check mrheeltoe threads in off topic sponsored sales for the cusco lower bar

he hides a discount code in his sig--was acurazinerocks, but have to check for newest ones yourself

My lower bar has numerous scrapes from wife not angling into steep change parking lots and such , but better it than the Cat~ which would have taken the hit if the bar wasnt there
Arent lowered cars fun to let other people drive (ugh)

I wouldnt replace the upper unless it was a 4 point mount like the stock unit. There are some that add to the stock, best bet if your going to spend money is get the comptech unit.

i have the cusco lower and top, which is in addition to the stock top bar. the bottom bar had the greatest affect, however the top was very noticeable as well and really tied everything together into a perfect square. i agree with others, do a top bar IN ADDITION to the stock bar.

you'd be suprised how many kids these days buy strut bars so they can show it to people when they open the hood, instead of handling purposes.

only reason they have cheap-o's on the market.. the ricer kiddies LOVE shiny cheap performance parts that do nothing..

Thats the first mod I did to the TL when it came into the family
Made a noticable differance with everything else stock

Tightens up the quick lane changes, improves turning response time by reducing frame flex transition time,,almost feels like a bigger front bar is on

and the wife said it elimanates the opposite direction roll that passenger feels as you enter a turn, especially on long round freeway on-ramp~

When you install it, you see it goes right where the 2 frame rails go from straight to a cradle for the engine and trans
At that point- where the lower suspenson points are, you need rigidity the crossbar provides

for those already with killer suspension- it will get even better once it stops moving around so much
You go to all the trouble to align the wheels then the shocks start moving as the frame slightly twist!

New owners of the lower bar please report your findings
Call Marcus, MrHeelToe- dont trust the website to know if there are any left in stock- they go pretty fast and come from japan so get confirmation
