Stock Tire PSI?
Stock Tire PSI?
I was just wondering on a regular basis what you guys are running as far as PSI in your stock rubber? I am running about 34PSI all the way around and I am wondering if everyone else is around that.

Man, open your drivers door and look at the information in the door jam...it's 32 PSI for all your tires, if your having a hard time reading the info.

How's this for a little insite. I had my tires set to 37.5 before my accident. Obviously I left a few facts out at the time...but I did reach 130+ earlier that night (less than 30 seconds to be exact), sad to say, I'm left without a car at the moment.
Eventually you are going to get new tires with different makes/sizes and the acura recommended 32 PSI wont apply anymore. So...what I do is find out what the max PSI for that specific tire is, and fill it up 10%-15% below that when it's cold. With our stock Michelins....41PSI is max...so 85% capacity is 35 PSI, while 90% capacity is 37 PSI.
I used to push it up to 38...but I really dont think you should do that since that'll limit your max speed to about 100mph before you start reaching the tires danger zone. Something to think about

As long as you dont go pass the max (41PSI). Keep in mind that by going 100mph you increase the PSI by as much as 3 vs when you first started the car when the tires were cold, so at 35 cold, you are really running 38 @ 100mph.

I see you didnt see pics of it when I initially had it towed to my bodyshop. Lets just say that my rear end was smashed all the way to the y-pipe. At least my 3A Racing tips were ok LOL
