Stock Mufflers
Noticed that the black paint on my muffler is starting to peel off. Only happening on the exhaust pipe side which faces outward. Anyone else have this problem? Another possible recall item????

Yup there is. Take your car back to the dealer. Be warned though, it could take several days for them to sand and repaint them for you which means you'll be driving a 4 cyl Integra for those days. UGH!!
I'd just do it myself. Sand them down real good and then you can paint them any color you want, high temp paint of course.
Or better yet, have someone powder coat them for you.

So is this like a warranty issue? My wife's Honda Accord's mufflers have been peeling since like early last year.

Whatever happened to fix it yourself?
I had the same porblem on my 98 Accord. I cleaned them, and shot them with Rustoleum flat black, followed by Epoxy flat. Never had a problem again. Was worth it to me to do for a lot less hassle and a longer term repair than the dealer is likely to offer.

I'll probably use your formula on the OEM mufflers in case I decide to put them back on.
The exhaust paint I've seen requires you to heat it up after application to bake it on (basically by running the car with the exhaust installed)... so maybe I should wait?
