Stock Bose System

I just 'upgraded' from a '97 3.2 TL (1st gen) to an '02 3.2 TL-P (2nd gen), and I am surprised that the stock stereo's sound in the '02 is really not that good - especially compared to the '97.

Has anyone else noticed this who have had both cars? The Bose system is not that impressive...

Yes, the system is not good at all, especially for a $30k+ luxury sedan.
