Ok, so here's my deal. Stock amp = sub par. What I'm trying to do is hook up an aftermarket amp but I don't know where the stock amp is. I want to just tap into those wires and pretty much replace the stock amp. I found the stock amp for the subwoofer and that is in the passenger rear seat. That doesn't help me at all! I've searched all around the forums and google but yet no luck. Can someone please tell me where the stock amp for the 4 speakers are located. Oh yeah, 2003 TL-S with stock navi and On-Star. Can someone pleaseeeeee help me locate it? I would very much appreciate it!

really? i thought someone said it was an external amp. so all i have to do is tap into the back of my deck to hook up my speaker inputs for the amp?

 

Only sub amp is external.

 

Yes, it is built into the HU. Only the sub amp on the TL is external. You will need a line out converter. Your best bet is to tap into it Before it goes to the EQ or you will have the over dramatized BLOZ eq settings.

 

is the eq also near the hu? sorry if i sound like a noob its because i am! lol

 

bose's eq is built in to they way the Bose Co. thinks it should sound..which is not good in our cars.
