Starters?
Apparently my starter has gone bad and a friend says he can fix it cheap cause Acura tried to charge me for a total of $450 to get it completly done. Just for knowledge, how hard is it to change a Starter?

it's not very difficult really. if you have done any mechanic work then it should come pretty easy to you. the hardest part is getting rusty bolts to move sometimes. all dealers are going to charge an arm and a leg though. i know ford charged me $350 for a starter once. that markup is a bitch.

the starter on the TL is very easy to replace.

Where is the starter located on the engine? Will I need to get under the car to get access to it?
Last night when I was looking in the engine compartment I think I saw it below the battery close to the trany dip stick..
I just want to make sure that I'm not getting myself into something that I can't handle, before I have my car towed from the dealer..
